About
A 30-minute meeting with a content expert to provide guidance on key topics. The meetings are scheduled using complex business logic to match participants based on priority, initiative and topic relevance.
Business Goal: Due to the global pandemic, in-person meetings were no longer possible. As an immediate pivot, the product required a robust API integration to deliver meetings virtually with a third-party vendor.
An additional need was to scale the meeting capabilities to deliver several meeting types, focusing on performance and stability to execute one-to-one and one-to-many meetings.
My Role
Lead Product Manager
Date: 2020
I collaborated extensively on the technical feasibility of the integration, partnering with the lead developers to meticulously select the most suitable APIs to align with the project’s goals.
Having to turn this project around quickly, I spearheaded the development timeline while managing technical evaluations/discussions, including limitations and dependencies, while regularly communicating progress to the leadership team.
Leading up to the release I monitored QA progress, supported User Acceptance Testing and facilitated user training/onboarding. Upon release, I continued to work closely with the development teams to extend optimization and scaling opportunities to enhance the integration’s performance and capabilities.

Key Takeaways
- Scaled to deliver 5,000 virtual meetings within the first 3 months of launch. Transitioning to virtual meetings safeguarded the revenue stream during the halt of in-person meetings, enabling us to meet customer needs and drive value.
- Optimizing APIs and performance to expand meeting offerings, including focus groups, consulting clinics, virtual meetups, and others, resulting in over 12,000 bookings throughout the year.
- Achieved successful vendor management through close collaboration with technical teams and adherence to strict terms of service.
- Effective resource allocation and budget management were vital to keep the project on schedule and on budget, all the while successfully delivering significant value to both end-users and the organization.
